Vergil is the eldest of twin sons born from the union of the demon Sparda and the earth woman Eve, and is the main antagonist of Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening and a playable character in Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. After the death of his mother as children, Virgil and Dante went their separate ways, with Virgil choosing to reject his human side and embrace his demonic heritage, contrasting his younger brother’s acceptance of the human side, who had initially abandoned his demonic one. Steadfast and reserved, Virgil demonstrates a willingness to do absolutely anything in his quest to gain the power and authority of his father, Sparda.
